Subject: MULTICULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN TOURISM
Syllabus:
Part 1 - Tourism in Cyprus;
Part 2 - Multiculturalism, globalization, multicultural policies, ethnocentrism, cultural shock, stereotypes and prejudices, G. Hofstede cultural dimensions (individualism / collectivism, masculinity/ femininity), tolerant attitude and its implementation through tourism;
Part 3 Problems in Tourism in Russia and Cyprus, solutions and trends.
Lecturer: Anna Kokhanets, lecturer at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management.
The seminars were organized by the above mentioned two coordinators to help improve the knowledge and efficiency of the people of the various Russian Universities and Institutes, involved in the Tourism industry.
The high ranking personnel of the various organizations mentioned above stayed in Cyprus for eight days and at the end of the seminars a certificate of attendance has been issued to each participant.
All expenses were paid by the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
